Exploitation of rare earth elements (REE) in New Mexico is considered highly feasible from a geological perspective, with the state holding significant, well-documented deposits. ICM proposes the long-term development of these resources face substantial challenges regarding market prices, environmental regulations, radioactive byproduct management, and the need for further technological research, New Mexico contains several areas with high potential for rare earth, niobium, zirconium, and tantalum mineralization, particularly within the North American Alkaline Igneous Belt. Key areas of interest include.
